JD.com’s French National Pavilion Doubles Sales is 2022

In 2022, JD.com (known as Jingdong in Europe) reported an annual growth of 100% in sales for its French National Pavilion, an online flagship store with a specific French theme.

JD.com has been very successful in promoting French products in China. Today, JD.com is the largest online retail channel for French brands such as Remy Martin and Hennessy.  Other luxury brands available on JD.com include LVMH and Longchamp.

JD.com: The Gateway for French Brands Success in China

An increasing number of Chinese consumers are turning to JD.com for their shopping needs. The platform has established itself as the go-to destination for shoppers to access high-quality, international brands. As a result, JD.com has become a good partner for French brands and merchants in China.

JD.com was the first online retailer to partner with LVMH, and this collaboration has brought 10 prestigious fashion brands, including DIOR, to the JD.com platform.

In 2022, prominent fashion houses like Maison Margiela and Roger Vivier launched their flagship stores on JD.com. The addition of these stores has further established JD.com as a trusted partner for French luxury brands.

JD.com Drives Rapid Growth for French Products

Sales of French brands on JD.com have also seen rapid growth. Examples include René Furterer, who experienced 200% year-on-year growth in Q1 of 2023.

Sales of French wine have seen strong growth, increasing by 230% from March 2022 to March 2023. JD.com sources wine from all 61 of the Bordeaux chateaux included in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification for red wine producers.
